It's amazing how fall seems to settle in with the passing of Labor Day, despite the continuation of summer. It's not over yet!
I'll be playing an event that is one of the most lively and fun events hosted in Portland. This first Friday, don't miss the RGS Open Studio. Richard Sandifer is one of the state's most gifted photographers. Every year, he opens his beautiful studio (a secret oasis in downtown Portland) to share art, community, and a killer dance party with live music and a latin DJ. This event benefits Safe Passage, a Maine-based non-profit that "empowers the poorest, at-risk children of families working in the community of the Guatemala City Garbage Dump, by creating opportunities and fostering dignity throught the power of education." Get tickets ahead of time or make a donation s at the door.
Saturday, September 15th, catch the Emilia Dahlin Quartet in Cape Elizabeth for the 10-year celebration and benefit for the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation. We're looking forward to this!
