"Sound Of Peace" is a large organization here that is involved in peacework in many ways, from cultural to political. They just celebrated 10 years and Claudio was asked to be the MC! It was a beautiful event. Before hand, Poesia Audio Visual (Claudio's project) was featured in the news on Global TV which went all over Brazil and beyond - a BIG deal. Here, students are taught how to produce video projects and are then hired by people in the community for events, which funds the project, making it totally free to participants. The students also learn music and are writing, as well as photography. It's been a huge success in the community and offers a past time, as well as vocational skills to kids who might otherwise fall into the drug culture here.
