Into the Swing o Things

Have begun work/ study schedule in earnest, from fixing air conditioning units to weeding the garden to researching aspects of all our looming destinations. We are amazed by Gigi's tireless efforts to make this journey an amazing one, and redouble our own work to reach our goals for personal fundraising and the inner work.

We are still ardently fundraising, making calls between study sessions to try and raise an additional $15,000 to cover our Independent Study time (October-January) and the last phase of research and community outreach in India and Indonesia next January-March. Guess it goes without saying that if anyone knows a soul who might be interested in supporting our journey, PLEASE send them along to our the fundraising page of our website.

Sam, Siri and Aaron have started a morning yoga practice and hope to continue that to augment our morning meditation, Emilia is hiking in the Poverty Hills daily, and the family of quail here are growing up fast. The bullfrogs say hello, louder every night, and I think we'll have to do a frog round-up soon.

Eight youth ages 15-20 arrive on Saturday for a 4 day fast in the high desert. Emilia will hold down base camp at 3 Creeks, Siri and I will be chaperones and guides-in-training. Will, Gigi, Sam and Win will guide the youth and hold base camp in the mountains.
