Youth Quest, now Rest

Youth Quest just finishing,

very tired after 3 weeks of non-stop with little down time. Youth stories were mind-blowing, so much presence, such deep truth and discovery in this Rite of Passage. I wish this opportunity for every teen I know out there, was at one time in our culture, and should be again, a standard for marking a young person's initiation into adulthood. The mirroring training was phenomenal, very difficult, humbling, the facilitators so gifted in giving each storyteller the gift of connecting their short 7 minute story to the Creation Myths that connect us all, the story of being human on this unique earth, the threads that we all share in the struggle of Becoming who we are, moment by moment.

Beautiful to watch, humbling to attempt. One must become very clear, very fluid to do it well, must know their own pressure points, sensitivities and biases, be in touch with their own shadow and light. I have a hunch that my mother would be really, really good at it, wonder perhaps if she doesn't help Myth some of her patients into being their healthiest selves through homeopathy and her ability to see the pattern that weaves through a life.

Finishing 'The Sacred Matrix' by Dieter Duhm and really recommend this book to those brave souls who want to invite in a new form of civilization. I have many questions for him and the Tamera community when we arrive there, don't agree with all that he writes, but really value his vision of birthing an entirely new system for engaging each other and the natural world.
